More tips:
✒ Keep moving your hand even if you're losing faith in your drawing. The momentum and progress is more important than the final result. Think of observational drawing as an exercise for your art.
✒ It's okay to pause and reevaluate at any point. It's okay if you want to start over or try something different in the next round.
✒ Experiment with materials and try a tool that makes bold, varied marks. It builds confidence in markmaking and helps you avoid getting bogged down in fine details early on.
✒ Note where the head, hands, feet, and joints are in space relative to each other. Then connect them or fix proportions as needed.
✒ Nothing is wrong with wonky/off anatomy. Lean into it if you enjoy it. Get really abstract/experimental. But if your goal is to improve your accuracy re: proportions of the body, etc, then keep practicing!
